History of the Lancashire Area
The East Lancs Area of the Transport Managers' Club was formed in 1948. This small social club for Transport Operators quickly grew to encompass the whole of the Lancashire and was therefore renamed in 1991 and the word “East” deleted from its title to what is now known simply as “The Lancashire Area” .
The Lancashire Area continues to expand its membership to this day, and is now one of the largest of the 8 surviving active Area’s within the Transport Managers' Club.
Lancashire hold regular social meetings on the first Monday of the Month between September through to June with special guests giving lectures and presentations throughout the year.
